Hi all!

I'm running 2011 PV Elite and have a little problem. I need to design horizontal vessel for my Client. The problem is that one vertical nozzle have SO ending flange. To that SO ending flange is connected another SO counterflange and additional length of the nozzle which ends with third SO flange and blind flange. Is it possible to model this kind of nozzle in PV Elite?

Thanks in advance!

Ricard,
It can't be modeled in PVElite. But as you know weight can be added seperately with the help of weight module and moments if any, are being acted upon the nozzle use wrc to evaluate along with forces

Dear Ricard,
I have three solutions for your problem but first of all I need more accurate data such as the length of nozzle, the inside and outside pressure and service; However one of the solution for this problem is that if you are confident about your upper nozzle(I mean if your are confident that your upper nozzle will not fail under internal and external pressure) then you should evaluate the weight of upper nozzle and its accessories(nozzle neck plus SO flange and SO counter flange plus blind flange)and then insert this weight as a nozzle load on the on your lower nozzle.

Don't hesitate to contact with me for more information
