I have doubt about considering a socket weld flange as a slip on integral or loose. The matter is that ASME VIII div1 seems to consider it as a loose flange (fig2-4 sketch4), but the plot figure from pv elite gives me more effort for the correct geometry considering it as integral.
In my actual case I have a tongue and groove facing and the gasket is situated at the inner part of the flange, I mean the G point is in the socket weld part, the G diameter is less than the flange internal diameter; which is the correct way to perform the calculation? loose or integral?

I have done the calculation choosing the loose flange option and considering as internal flange diameter the internal diameter at hub.
I have checked the report and modified by hand the B value in the Hd formula, infact I do not understand this step in the calculation report, shouldn't the Hd formula be:

0.785 * Bē * Peq

instead of

2 * b * Pi * G * m * P + .............

I have modiefied this, and assumed for the Hd instead of internal diameter at hub the internal diameter at socket.

I would like some comment about it, is it right??

Thank you
