i have seen that in pvelit calculation the weight of hydro test at shop and field is different. what is the reson for that difference?

In PV Elite, you can specify to install packing, insulation, platforms etc in the field. the difference may be because of those. You can make this selection on the "Load Cases" tab -> "Installation/Misc. Options".

thx mandeep.. but practically when performing hydrotest at shop and field, i think there has no installation of such parts....so there should not have any weight difference..then why it differ i m just confusing..

Is it because of field hydrotest has considered the corroded thickness (if corrosion allowance is entered) which results in ID increased??

Also, a shop will not always test with all of the internals installed. And a field will not always remove all of the internals to do a field hydrotest.
