Hi,

I have encountered problems with hydrotest pressure as designing a heat exchanger per UG99C.

The shell side design pressure is 10barg, and 9 barg for tube side.

The calculated hydrotest pressure is 40 barg! It exists a huge difference between design pressure and hydrotest pressure, could that be possible?

thanks in advance,

Shanes,

Did you indicate the shell side element on the heat exchanger dialog? check that.

If you cannot resolve it then send the PV Elite input file to support -at- coade.com

Shanes,
UG 99 (c) calculates the hyd. test pressure based on MAP (Not the MAWP/DP) of the exchanger.
Please check the calculated MAP of the exchanger in the PV-Elite output
