Goodmorning everybody , please help me on the following question.

In PVElite 2014

1. When the option “use higher longitudinal stresses” is selected, and UBC1997 for seismic code is used, AND the “apply allowables per 1612.3.2” is not selected, the seismic load case allowable stress (e.g. in load cases 2 and 4 ) is not increased by 1.2. This seems wrong considering what indicated in help: help says that only old PVE releases prior to 2009 do not change the seismic allowable even if the option above is selected. Is it correct?
2. Viceversa:
2.1 When the option “use higher longitudinal stresses” is NOT selected, and UBC1997 for seismic code is used, and the “apply allowables per 1612.3.2” IS selected, the seismic load case allowable stress (e.g. in load cases 2 and 4) is increased by 1.2 except for the skirt that has 1.33 increase factor. The behaviour seems OK.
2.2 When the option “use higher longitudinal stresses” IS selected, and UBC1997 for seismic code is used, and the “apply allowables per 1612.3.2” IS selected, the seismic load case allowable stress (e.g. in load cases 2 and 4) is increased by 1.2 except for the skirt that has 1.33 increase factor, and the wind allowable is increased too by 1.2. The behaviour seems OK.

Does someone have similar behaviour? Is behaviour correct?

Thank you
