Please refer attached Pvelite file.

Where in Pvelite is not calculating thickness of blind flange as per requirements of the UG-39(e)(2).

This calculations is required as spacing between adjacent opening is less than twice but more than 1.25 times average diameter of openings.

Spacing = 250 mm
Average dia. = 193.75 mm

Please share your views does Pvelite performs this calculations or not ?

Entered value of Internal Pressure in "Design Constraints" tab has not been updated under "General Input" menu (still it shows 0). So update the value of internal pressure in "element data" input menu.

Design pressure is atmospheric so kept as zero.

Our main concern is that when spacing between the opening in bolted flange is higher than 1.25*Average diameter & less than 2*Average diameter.

Pv-elite shall calculate "h factor" as specified in the UG-39(e)(2)

Than this factor shall be multiplied with the calculated thickness of the blind flange as per UG-39(d)(2).

Though spacing requirements of the UG-39(e)(2) satisifed but pvelite perform calculations as per UG-39(e)(1) & stops with UG-39(d)(2) calculations.

Further multiplication with h factor is not done in pv-elite.

We would like to know that the same is done by software or not.
