I am having following query

To calculate reinforcement of large offset opening, do we need to satisfy the requirements of both, U-2(g) and appendix 1-7(a) (Div-I) or U-2(g) alone will suffice the requirements,as appendix 1-7(b) (Div-I) is limited only for radial opening.

OR appendix 1-9 or appendix 1-10 (Div-I)can be used for the same?

Can any one help me to resolve.

U-2(g): This Division of Section VIII does not contain rules to cover all details of design and construction. Where complete details are not given, it is intended that the Manufacturer, subject to the acceptace of the Inspector, shall provide details of design and construction which will be as safe as those provided by the rules of this Divison.
