Just to add to Mandeep's remarks: If you are a CodeCalc user, you might think about upgrading to PV Elite. The cost of CodeCalc will be set off against the purchase price of PV Elite. Furthermore, PV Elite includes a copy of CodeCalc, so your existing files are can still be used just as before.

When will PVElite-2007 version available to us? Infact, cover of our PVElite lock came out while pulling out it from USB-Port. Hence it is very difficult and taken care while using. Please ensure PVElite lock must be durable this time. Lock for PVElite-2005 was durable.
Also have u incorporated my earlier recommendations stated like:-
(i) Warning for pad width for WRC-107/297 analysis for using it as combined thickness.
(ii) Minimum wrapper/wear plate width requirement for using it part of shell thickness for Saddle analysis.

Saurab,

PV Elite 2007 was shipped in late December, early January. Please contact your local dealer about your update. I will also send them a reminder email.

We have not had problem with the new locks. But, our dealer can provide you with a replacement lock if your account is current.

Thank you for your suggestions. I have noted them.

Hi Mandeep,

With regards WRC107 Analysis within nozzle design input, I am wonder if the summary will be provided as per CodeCalc in which showing whether 'Passed' or 'Failed'. I always have to run CodeCalc just for the summary.

Another issue I came across is everytime I open a file, the external design pressure will always back to FV even though it was saved with the value of 0.

Thank you.

Dear CW,

Yes, PV Elite now includes option to enter the loads in categories (Sustained, Expansion and Occasional) and then it categories the stresses and compares to the allowable, similar to CodeCalc.

We also added option to import Nozzle loads from CAESAR II pipe stress analysis program, incase the piping that attaches to the nozzle is analyzed.

In case you have some standard loads given to you. You can enter that in an Excel file and then import that into the program.

You may be referring to the default external design pressure. You can enter your own default value from Tools menu -> Configuration -> Set Default Values. In the March 2007 build we will be adding more default options too.

Try the new version, I think you will like the new enhancements. Let us know your comments.
