I am trying to build new tables for fabricated segmented elbows. I don't know is a segment count is available in the spec editor. I don't seem to find anywhere for this information. I am going to have to create user shapes for all the segmented fittings I will be using.

Thanks,
J

In the catalog file, under Data Tables/Elbows, Add a new elbow Data Table and under Type select Mitered Elbow. The Miterd Elbow data file allows for the usual Mainsize, Rad and Ang, but adds SEGS (Segment number). It may work for your component build.

yes mitered elbows are what you are looking for, although they only appeared in version 2014 or 2015 if I am not mistaken.

Can also model segmented elbows with the a polyline and the MPIP command. You just need to set the isogensettings appropriately, although I would discourage this approach.

I have added segmented elbows to our data table and they are working fine except when we use isogen the are put in as 2 elbows, any ideas why?

I recall that you need to use the correct SKEY to have it listed properly in the Isogen BOM. Off the top of my head this is MIBW or similar. The SKEYS.pdf will show you the way.

Changing the skey to MIFL added the note that it is a mitre bend but is still showing 2 for each one in the BOM.

Treevette, change the SKEY identifer = elbow

This should work correctly then. I tested on 2019 SP1, but I can test on different versions also if you prefer ?
