I'm a long time user (hacker) of CADWorx in a one person shop so admittedly not a power user. I recently installed CW 2012 and viewed the CW 2011 new features video on YouTube. I feel like I've been living under a rock, I have no idea how use all the cool features ie. real time pipe router, changesize, smart insert, etc. Reasonably sure this requires use of live DB but clueless on how to effectively implement and use.

Looking for recommendations on good video tutorial or online helps.

It sounds like you've watched one of the demos of the next generation CADWorx Plant software, which is still in development; it has gone through a number of name changes over the past few years. The current release version of CADWorx, 2012, still uses the same basic structure from the past 6-7 years (albeit with some nice new palettes and additions)

The new version of CADWorx is looking very promising at this point, but has not yet been released for general consumption.
