I can add bolts to a flange in CADWorx Plant 2019 SP3. I have a flange in Plant, then select bolts and click on the flange and I get the friendly "B" sitting on the flange.

The error code says: The Selection Code () of this Bolt set does not match...

Both are pointing to the same config file.

The spec data looks good and matches.

Any ideas? Config? Bug? Feature?

I should add: This is for the same spec and same size and same selection.

I would start by checking the Bolt Selection codes assigned to the flange and also the Bolts. Both in the PRJ and the Catalog.

Another option could be if the flange/bolt in question is being mated to a valve or other inline component that has bolt selection codes assigned differently to the valve.

I don't know how that is possible. We are looking at the same catalog/prj/cfg. What is different is the CADWorx versions. I'm thinking it's a bug.

The error message specifically mentions that there is a problem with the bolt selection codes. I would be looking at what could be possible causes or conflicts for these codes.

I believe something changed in 2020 vs 2019 with the bolt selection codes and they act differently now. As Vanman said, try filling out the BSC on all flanges and bolts to see if the problem is resolved.
