I created an assembly, but I cannot figure out where it is stored?

How do you make a global assembly? I didn't get an option when the assembly is made.

Ok. I just discovered that the local assemblies are saved within the .prj file used to create them.

But ....

How do you see them within the Specification Editor?

I dont think you can. You'll have to open it in an XML editor.

That's how I discovered they were in the .prj file, but I thought there was maybe a setting to check to view it inside the spec editor.

BTW, I tried typing in ASSEMBLYEDITPATHS and nothing happens in my CADWorx (2019 SP3/AutoCAD 2019).

Im getting the same functionality in 2020R2 SP1. If you select an assembly in the palette, then right click you can edit the path with that command, but it doesn't seem to work if typing at the commandline.

That works for me as well. Thanks!

Global Assemblies need a little more thought as they are across multiple specifications. If your assembly contains a ball valve or a plug for example, and one of the specs is missing these components, that assembly wont work.

Maybe V22 will have the command fixed.
