Hi guys,

I asked a similar question a while ago about importing steel model done in Tekla (as this is not possible due to Tekla is made up of faces not solids) But I was thinking about using CIS/2 import and although this works it does not bring everything in, as CADworx steel does not contain the same profile information that is found in Tekla/Revit etc.

Does anyone have a full list of Steel profiles that can be used in Cadworx and is compatiable with other steelwork applications?

Thanks,
SC

A "full list" can be derived from the data files. Whether its "compatible" is highly subjective.

I have imported steel from different applications successfully with CIS/2.

CADWorx may already have the library, only the description may vary a little.

When you import and you get an incomplete result, open up the commandline window with f2. You will be able to see a list of everything that did not import.

All you need to do then is create data files for the missing sections. Then reimport.
