Is it necessary to change the default directories of both the 'library' and 'TopWorks' in order to use custom content in either one?

Newbie Question: What exactly does the 'library' include?

Is there a good reason not to change from the default path?

In other words...

Do the two (2) support file paths I mention in (for my case it is the IMPERIAL) .CFG file need to be changed to accomodate customized content?

I don't see those folders under the GUI editor, so I suspect those entries in the CFG are redundant. They used to refer to the LIB_I/M/MM and topworks directories in pre-2013 content. I do know the PRJ file references the base catalog path/filename explicitly, and the catalog references the path to custom topworks as well. Let me check...

(pause)

I've just checked my testing CFG and the paths are still pointing to the local OOTB folders, and the program is pulling from our centralized data as dictated by the loaded PRJ. So that confirms the CFG entries *are* now redundant.

Hello dgorsman,

I need a little confirmation: So, the chosen PRJ file overrides and literary duplicates the Imperial.CFG support file path setting. Correct?

Frankly, the CADWorx application suite; starting with customizing P&ID Pro and now earnestly setting up ISOGEN & Plant 2013 R1 during the next two remaining workdays of 2012 for me, have been mysteries that are slowly unfolding.

Both sharing your experience plus your willingness to patiently communicate with and guide me, the newbie user, is invaluable. THANKS!
I can tell you that I am certainly glad I did not have to unlearn the pre-2013 CADWorx paradigm!

I always play it safe. I make sure my paths are always set correctly, redundant or not.
