Currently we have 3 projects active. The individual project drgs. files, spec and data are all under the same individual project directory on the network. ie 3 project dirs. on the network with its own drgs, specs and data files. Cadworx is sitting on C drive on each individual computers. We are having a lot of problems ie. CRASHING , loosing data, etc....
Mapping on the config. file is all ok.. but it seems to be looking for the Spec, data in C DRIVE.
ANY HELP IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED......

Are you employing Project configurations (project.cfg) within your projects, pointing to the correct locations?

I have experienced having multiple projects using different cfg files, not having them set to read only (users only has read access to the location of the project files) and bouncing between projects, somehow paths, specifically spec paths were getting screwed up and pointing to different locations. After setting the paths and setting the cfg files to read only, I no longer had any pathing issues.

Create 3 different configuration files, one for each project.

Make sure that all of your library paths (Steel, Pipe, Equipment) are pointed to the comment directory. Place ALL COMMON files in a READ ONLY directory so that only certain people can modify these files (this can be done by IT).

It will help if you name each configuration file uniquely (i.e. project number).

If you are using a database, make absolutely sure that everyone is using it. If you are using MS ACCESS with multiple users, then switch to SQL.

Regards,
Rod
