QUESTIONS

1.) CADWorx Plant 2013 spec catalog system allows any combo of materials, sizes, etc. Correct?
2.) Is there any downside to combining all materials, etc. in this way?

2013 spec.'s were introduced to me briefly and I never set up CADWorx Plant before.

My work setting (as described in the subject and the following):
- Work in Inch Units
- 90% plus of the material used here is 316L Stainless Steel including all pipe and components that contact our products.
- I am thinking of using the supplied 2013 spec 'Inch_SS Catalog' as a basis for my custom spec.

Additionally, I am consulting the CDWX HELP file.

1. Yes

2. Not that I know of.

In your PRJ file you can globally assign materials to component catagories. This is what I would use. Then the odd component you can specify per component.
