I just used the DFOUT\DBFIN method to import some legacy CWX piping to 2013. It brought most of the components in, but it choked on FIELD WELDS and FIELD FIT WELDS (and a few others). It throws a bunch of 'failed to create component' errors, but I have no idea what that means. There is a little pop-up dialog that seems to have some optional components, too. If I click on one of them, it seems to move on, but I don't know if it inserted it or what it did. The whole process is very cryptic. It also fails to tell me what component (specifically) it was having an issue with. I'm assuming that this error has something to do with the specifications I'm using, but I don't know what I need to do to fix it.

It sounds to me like you legacy spec and your 2013 spec don't match 100%. This is why you are having import issues.

Maybe try C2out and C2in and see if you get different results. Not sure if it will work differently, but it may.
