Hello,

I need to add "sap" numbers to all the components in our specs that we have but I'm having difficulty. I know that the item code that is in the dbcode.dat file can be edited for each component, but if a number is given to say a 14" flanged gate valve then I get the same number in all specs. I've also given the thought of going through the *.spc file and giving each component the sap number in the "tag" value. The problem with this is that each component has to be broken into each individual size instead of "0.500" to 1.500". Any ideas?

I think i figure this bad boy out! I set the DBcodes.dat option in the config file to "spec". then i tell the spec to read that dat file associated to the spec file and change part numbers there. so far this works.s
