I have searched for a while now and have not found the an answer to my question. Is there a way to set the filename of the .DWG file that will get created? The client is not wanting to use a line number as the filename. I would rather not have to manually change all these, as well as manually have to change the continuations.

Thanks,

In Isogen Configuration find -Drawing manager/Path. You can specify variables in there, unfortunately I cannot remember where to find these variables, I only use ?? to add a Sheet number .. see attachment.

Thank You very much for this info. I searched the forums and never found that thread. I am still having issues with trying to get it to do what I am wanting. I am needing the drawing number to format to XXMBXXXX where the first 2 would be a unit designation and the last 4 would be a number that will need to be incremented for each drawing, and will need to start at a specified number.

I see that "$-6$" ends up being the line number that gets exported to the Pipeline-Reference field. Is this documented somewhere to explain how that variable is made? This same question applies to the ?? after SHT.

I appreciate any and all help one might have. Thanks!

I found the documented variables from a post by Chris_B:

It is in the help file with ISOGEN (...\CADWorx 201X\Plant\ISOGEN\ISOGEN_Releases.chm Search for "Dynamic File Naming")

Another route is to model your lines with the iso output you need.

Or if you need to keep your line numbers, you could look into ISOWorx. We have a rename feature. ISOWorx
