Hi Guys ,
I am looking for a basket strainer with drain valve SKEY .
There is a Y strainer symbol with angled conn , basically i am looking for the same symbol with straight down conn.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

There is the FI** SKEYs e.g. FIFL. It could be redefined. Just keep in mind iso's are schematics, the isn't much need to go overboard with details.

I have prepared a user shape for the strainer. and I think FIFL is not allowed for user shapes. I have override the SKEY in the ISOGEN property and got the error 13.
BTW I am using CW18.

I've used FIFL with user shapes.

FIFL is not available in the SKEY drop down list when you create a usershape.
By default it choose MULTI-PORT-COMPONENT as identifier and XVFL as Skey for filters and FIFL isnot in that list.
Is there a way to go around this?

For an inline basket strainer you can most definately use FIFL. The USERCREATE dialog may not list it as an option, but you would be able to apply it in the spec editor. Both the Identifier and the SKEY need to match as per hte SKEYS.pdf

You will not be able to apply the FIFL SKEY to the Multi-Port identifier.

It looks like your usershape was not created correctly. The FIFL SKEY expects 2 connection point from the PCF. It looks from the message file that your usershape only has one connection point.

Run the editusershape command and verify the connections.

So I want to use FIFL for a three connection usershape. I can do that using XVFL but I want to use FIFL as I have Y-strainers in piping as well.
In metric 150 spec CADworx have y-strainer using FIFL skey with three connection points.
I am wondering whether you could use the same skey for basket strainers?

Yes, but skip the drain connection just like the y-strainer. Use a TAP for the connection instead.
