The ISOGEN Message File (*.MES) has the most useful information on ISOGEN issues and errors. The actual ISOGEN error codes or numbers do not have much meaning.

In our situation a folder name got changed and it was looking in the wrong location. In case this happens to anyone else check your folder names in the project manager and see if they are all the correct names.

In general, I look at the error numbers and if I have a -9 I know I have to reset my AutoCAD and CADWorx so I save the drawing, exit AutoCAD and restart the drawing and most of the time I can resolve the problem. I have found that a -9 error cannot be resolved without exiting AutoCAD. This is not the solution to the error, but without this step I usually cannot find the solution.

-9 error is usually due to an incorrectly pathed configuration file. The big bad error you never want to see is -2; that ones a fishbone that requires the AutoCAD session to be closed.
