Does any one have a right up or point me in the correct direction on how to get the barcode to work right in IsoGen. I select the attribute I want as a barcode and change the font to BAR CODE 39, but it never comes out. When I go to the style editor in the Iso it shows the Style BAR39, but BAR39.ttf is missing. I have the BAR39.ttf in my search paths.

TTF fonts don't use search paths. You need to register it with the operating system.

Bar code scanners have kind of fallen by the wayside since it's fairly easy to read drawing contents like block attributes directly. Its faster and more reliable to open the DWG file electronically and scrape the information automatically than printing to a stack of hard copy and running the reader over all of them individually.

I got it working. dgorsman Thanks for pointing my to the right path. I had looked in there before but I just kept digging until I found the right thing. The ttf files are funny things. I will write up a white paper and post it here and my blog.

Basically look in the Windows font folder C:\Windows\Fonts and get the true font name by selecting the font and clicking on PROPERTIES.

Make sure your FIF file for IsoGen has a font with that name. If not change it.

Then in iConfig under the attribute select the font for the item you want to show a barcode. Leave the Barcode field set to 0
