I am modeling a crude oil metering system that utilizes weldolets for the 30"x14" header/meter run branch connections.
Header: 30" sch-XS API 5L Gr.B
Meter run: 14" sch-XS A106 Gr.B
Weldolet: A105 to MSS-SP-97

To properly utilize the WRC 329 module I know I should enter the weldolets FTG Ro(8.5 inch for Bonney Forge 14" XS reducing weldolet) but I am unsure about the crotch radius. The technical reference manual defines the Crotch R as "The crotch radius of the formed lip on an extruded welding tee, intersection type 6. This is also the intersection weld crotch radius for WRC 329 calculations." This definition makes no mention of type 5 - weldolet connections eventhough the Crotch R is user configurable for type 5 connections. Is it correct to enter the crotch radius of the weldolet given in Table 2 of MSS-SP-97(3.94 inch in this case)?

Unfortunately, my copy of WRC 329 has not arrived yet so I am not sure if it's correct to use the crotch radius stated above. When I utilize 3.94 inches for Crotch radius I reduce my header SIFS by a factor of 2 so I wanted to double check.

Thanks
