For the first time I am having to come up with equivalent horizontal & vertical acceleration for use with a static model.

The client has quoted UBC-97 zone 2A.
I do not have the above & also B31.3 now only quotes ASCE-7.

Having started to look thru' ASCE-7 I am left wondering which value to use for my accelerations, a) seismic base shear (12.8-1) which would appear to be for static G procedures or

b) seismic design force (13.3-1) which would appear to be for pipe design but I am not sure whether it is applicable to static G analysis.

Vertical accel. from a previous job was taken as 2/3 hor. accel. but i can't find anything to justify this - any ideas?

My other query is whether there is a way to convert the clients UBC figure to ASCE-7 Ss & S1.
I have found a figure for Ss & S1 off the internet (not USA) but would like to tie this back to clients figure if possible.
I have looked at TI809-4 but it doesn't seem to work properly with my adobe reader
