hello,

I am required to model a pipeline system
made up of VAMTOP tubings. The tubings are not connected by welding but by threaded mechanical connection. The connections have thicker walls and would require large coupling torque to ensure connectivity and rigidity.

Has anyone done similar analysis?
What SIF value should I use at the joints?
Should I even model the increased rigidity at the threaded joints?

Are there any differences compared to modeling common welded pipelines?
