I am using CaesarII 2016. While using the Wind load module under the Load case editor, there is a note saying "The software determines the units displayed here from the piping input file, not the configuration settings." What does this mean exactly.
I have a wind input of 6psf( pounds per square foot) and I have defined the Wind loads units in psf in the Unit file(.FIL). However the Wind input module shows the Pressure as lb/sq.in.Am confused whether the UNit settings are right??
Need some clarity pls.

You may change the unit file of an existing CII model by Tools - Change model Units or by Utilities- Change model Units.
You can find a short tutorial on web Casar II- Working with Units 02.

That is fine mariog.
But what I am trying to find out is the significance of the note written in the Wind module of Caesar Load case editor. The note reads like "The software determines the units displayed here from the piping input file, not the configuration settings."
I have personally seen that the FIL file is showing correct unit (psf- pounds per sq feet ) but the Wind module shows lb/sq in.
This causes confusion down the line as many feel that there is error in units while actually it is not.

Dear ManojLotli

What you said is correct.. There is an issue with 2016 version for WIND units. There is one patch file which needs to be installed in your PC to correct this issue.

Generate a service request to INTERGRAPH and get the patch for installation. patch name is CAESARII_2016_IR_HF_Pack (08.00.00.5603)

Alternatively, you Or your superior, whoever has login access with Intergraph, can download it and your IT guy can very well install it.

I hope, it will solve your problem.
