Hey gang,

I was just doing some maintenance on the old computer and I noticed that for forum header says:
"Please note, the current edition of CAESAR II 2014 is Version 7.00.02, Build 150430."

My CAESAR II copy in the about screen says:
"Caesar II 2014
Copyright etc...
Ver: 7.00.00.2800, (Build 140416)"

Any idea why the difference? I do the monthly check for updates and I ran one right now and it says that there is no newer build available. Thoughts?

Also, is CAESAR II 2016 released yet? What do I have to do to get that version?

Sorry about that - thank you for catching that the Forum Header wasn't updated.

The software on your machine, once a month and when requested, checks internal data against a data file on the website. This is how the monthly update check knows if a newer Edition is available. Unfortunately right after v.7.00 was released, the website data file was moved to a new location. Subsequent Editions are looking in the new location.

Thanks for the info. Turns out our IT coordinator got the disc for CAESAR II 2016 back in October, did not realize what it was and put it on a shelf. I have been going around installing it on all the computers we use for analysis now. I can't wait to see how it works.

BTW, have there been any updated to 2016 since release? I installed it on two machines straight from the October disc and when I ran the check for update, both said they were the latest version. I guess I am surprised that there is not at least some update since the October release. Maybe you guys are just that good.
