Hi,

I don't know if this is the right place to be asking this question but I'll give it a try. When I open a file containing piping exported form the CADWorx 2013 Plant model (using C2O option in CADWorx) in Caesar II 2014, I see that for some reason valve flanges are blended together with the valve into one rigid element (a rigid element that has weight obviously).

I would like to have them separated in a manner that every component is an independent piping element in CAESAR II (flange-valve-flange). Is there any why that the interface CADWorx - CAESAR can be tweaked to avoid this issues.

Thx

Ivicom,

There are two ways in my opinion to get as separate component(flange-valve-flange)
1. While conversion from CADWox to CAESAR do select the gasket. Usually after conversion in caesar the gasket will be converted to a rigid element without any weight. (Sometimes during this stage the valve anf flange get combined into one).

2. Avoid selecting the gasket while conversion from CADWox to CAESAR . After conversion the flange and the valves won't be connected directly but you can see the model is placed using the coordinates. You can manually connect the flange and valve. So, in a way you can get every component as separate element.
