Hello everyone,

This is my first post in this forum. I'm using CAESAR 5.30 (2011). ( im a relatively new user!)

I have been trying to model a 180 degree ring type distributor with radial straight branch arms ( 4 lug supports) in CAESAR. The analysis runs fine and all the stresses are within the allowable ranges in the reports. However, when I try to view the animation, the model breaks up at some particular locations and long lines appear tangentially at that location. Is this some graphics issue ?? if not, Can someone let me know why this is happening even though all the stress values turn out fine ?

Thank you in advance for your time. Please feel free to ask any questions if my post isn't clear.

Thanks,
Vinay

This particular issue was corrected in a later Service Pack for v.5.30, it was a graphics issue. Can you update your installation?

Mahesh, Thanks for the suggestion. I had tried the graphic settings already before but didn't help.

Richard,

I will check with my admin if we could get a latest update. It looks like I am using an old 2011 version 5.30 ( Build 110830).

Since you confirmed its a graphics issue, I am planning to go ahead and use the reports to know my displacements and stress and neglect the graphics/animation for now. I believe, if my reports are fine my model should be okay.

Thanks for the responding quickly !

I have version 2014 installed with build 140416 and in graphic setting, windows basic video is selected.
But when I want animation, the message pops up "Application has stopped working".
What I need to do?

Update your installation with Service Pack 2, available on Smart Support.
