Hi all,

I've a technical question about the earthquake in CAESAR:

Which method it's more conservative, the static seismic simulation (simulate earthquake as a static uniform load) or the dynamic seismic simulation (using response spectrum)?

TY.

Static Seismic can be used (is applicable) when the system response is dominated by the first mode of vibration. Of course, you don't know that unless you perform the full response spectrum analysis.

My suggestion is to use the response spectrum method.
