Has anyone else encountered this message? I received that error message so hoping that upgrading would solve the problem, have updated to the latest version of Caesar II (v5.30.2.0); but as soon as I click on the icon to get to the piping input screen I receive that error message.

As recently as half a year ago, Caesar II ran fine. I didn't run Caesar II again until after upgrading CADworx to version 2012 so I could use it with our current version of AutoCAD.

I am using Windows 7, 64bit.

Below are the details of the error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated because technical support is not responding to phone calls, emails, etc, and meanwhile productivity here has halted entirely!

Try change in configuration file the video driver from Open GL to Windows Video driver:

If you search for "Prepip.exe" you will see that normaly this is the cause.

I got the problem resolved. It is not the video driver.

What I didn't know, and nobody had told me when I upgraded to CADWorx 2012 was that the CADWorx configuration file has to be edited when Caesar II is upgraded.

Plant Menu -> Setup -> Edit Config File -> The "CAESARVersion" field has to be edited to read: 2011.

Simple fix when you know it, frustrating if nobody mentions it. Hope this will help save someone the same hassle I had.

The Windows Video driver fix did not work for me, it was the CADWorx Config File update that did the trick. Change CAESARVersion to 2011.

I had the same error. using Windows Video driver did solve it, but it sacrificed the graphic quality. And I couldn't figure out how to do the CADWorx thing. But what solved the problem, in my case at least, was the graphic driver update.

I have also seen updating the video drivers resolve the issue when choosing opengl drivers.
