Hi all,

This is a basic query regarding hanger design.I am providing hanger from a Vessel clit for a 12 inch pipe the hanger is supporting the pipe via dummy through the vertical pipe.
My query is i am giving hanger at the end of dummy (At node number of dummy) with C Node of the vessel clit modeled at same elevation as that of dummy but in reality my vessel clit is above the dummy and hanger will also be above dummy. So, How to model hanger supports that are either hanging or resting from the vessel clits ?

By specifying a CNode for the hanger, CAESAR II will base the hanger selection on the differential vertical growth between the hanger node and this CNode. Only the vertical directionis required so this CNode need not be aligned with the hanger node. Likewise, the vertical position of this CNode is important.

I believe you want to call it a vessel clip.
