i do analysis for off-shore piping, both operating and transit conditions. operating load case is different and transit load case is different. our client says, same support what is to used in operating case and transit case is it possible.
Allowable force and moment, stress are passed in operating case. in transit condition stress will pass but allowable force and moment are Fail.

why we considered for allowble force and moment in transit conditions? is it necessary for transit contition. In transit condition, we considered only aemb.temp, transit accleration, wind, displacement due to structural.

I hope you might have got an answer for the question. If yes, please share. I am trying to perform an analysis for an offshore piping system and the design basis describes the transit and survival cases. It would be more appreciated if you share your ideas on the same.
