Hello
we use to have Caesar II working great on our Windows XP workstations, however last year our IT provider (contracted out) decided to switch over to Windows 7.
We (the technical and engineering people) were never asked about the programs we use and eventually the Windows 7 workstations were rolled out.
Most of the programs we use still work, but Caesar II does not.
After investigating for a while, it looked like we had finally gotten it to install, but now we are still getting an error. It appears that when you try to install it on our Win7 64 bit PCs that a configuration (.ini) file is never created
So caesar opens and looks like its fine, but as soon as you try to open a file or create a new file it crashes and says no configuration file found.
I tried to copy it from a working XP machine over and it didnt seem like it worked.
Any help?

What version of CASEAR II are you running, you want to use the latest version/build. It seems that the configuration program is not running, did you try to run the program "c2config.exe" from the CAESAR II installation folder. If you still have issues, log a support request at ecustomer portal. For International customers please use this link to request support: http://www.coade.com/dealer.shtmlFor US & Canadian customers, go to eCustomer ( https://crmweb.intergraph.com/ecustomer_enu/) if you already have a login. If you do not have a user login, click here ( https://support.intergraph.com/OnLineSupport/accountreq.asp) to request one. If you are a maintenance customer, you have access to our knowledge base, technical tips, and downloads.

The disk is labeled 5.10
I know that when I still had my XP machine that I had upgraded to 5.20
I did try to run the c2config.exe if I remember correctly.
I will try this again.
Thanks

ok, you just need an updated HASP driver, download it from http://www.safenet-inc.com/technical-support/You really need to use the Intergraph's eCustomer support portal. Did you try it.

I downloaded the HASP driver, and now the license part seems to be working, however when I tried to open caesar it shows me
ERROR 6050: Unable to locate any licenses for this product
I reinstalled and restarted
then it was showing me a dialog box that said "No active Configuration file found. The program will not operate properly without this file. Please select TOOLS/CONFIGURE from the menu and build a configuration file.
I tried to do that, but when I click on configure nothing happens
So I tried to open a file and it says
ERROR 206: configuration file not found or could not be opened

Please send a request to tech support (if you are current on UMS, you are entitled to it). This issue is more involved.
