Hi,

I am modeling offshore piping on a platform and have piping shaped roughly as a loop ( with clamp attachments)

My clamps do not allow transverse motion but allow longitidanal motion after a threshhold axial load. I am modeling it as guide along with a X2/Z2 with a yield load.

I have a couple of questions

1)Is the above bc modeling correct for a clamp?

2) When I run the LCs it fails to converge even after 2 hrs!! Has anyone faced this problem and if so how do I debug??.

Appreciate the help ...

Thanks

NVK
