Dear all,

Currently I'm working to select snubber. I've got 4 location to install snubber (Node 315, 40, 445, 615) and conducted static and dynamic (spectrum) analysis.

Each line where I'm going to install snubber have stopper (node 300, 170, 490, 610). Hammering was suspected to occur with estimated hammering force 35 Ton and have broken 1 stopper and displaced pipe elbow at node 50 around 445mm. The intent of snubber is to mitigate the same phenomenon.

Scenario as below:
1. Remove stopper @310, install snubber @315
2. Remove stopper @170, install snubber @40
3. Remove stopper @490, install snubber @445
4. Remove stopper @610, install snubber @615

During static analysis all above cases are PASSED, but I wondering why during Dynamic analysis are FAILED.

Please help me is it ok If I proceed and choose snubber based on static analysis ??

Use the "Reply" option, not the "quick reply". There is a "File Manager" option in the standard "Reply" dialog.
