Richard,

Please find the attached file that shows the misleading information in the HELP Facility that can cause confusion for whom is not familiar with SI.

The numbers in the HELP FACILITY seems to be for kg/dm3 ( kg/liter) not for kg/cm3.

Additionaly the required input seems to be kg/m3. Therefore, I think the numbers should be given with unit kg/m3.

I do not see any eveidence that the file was attached. If not please let me know.

Regards,

Ibrahim Demir

Yes I agree, this is confusing. The problem here is that the units shown in the input grid, and in the title of the help are dynamic - that is they change to reflect the units system acitve at the time the input was created. (This is as it should be.)

However, the data in the table you show in the PDF is NOT dynamic, it is fixed. This particular help text shows the density values in lb/cu.in. and kg/cu.cm. We should improve this (make these values and the unit labels dynamic), or clearly state these are example values that may be different from the active units system.

I just reverified the conversion for the first row as follows:

4.33E-02 lb/cu.in. * 0.45359 kg/lb * 1 cu.in./16.387064 cu.cm. = 1.20e03 kg/cu.cm.

I'll have someone else recheck this, and we'll improve that "help text" display.

Richard,

I apologise on my claim. Your calculation is correct. Help Facility values are correct as well. We were reading the values without taking the (.) dot into account on the kg/cu cm side since the values were 3 digits.

However I still would like to see the unit as kg/m3 as this confused us, it may happen again.

Thanks again and kind regards,

Ibrahim Demir

I agree, this is a bit confusing. I'll endeavor to get this simplified as soon as possible.
