Dear All,

I am doing stress analysis for Storage tanks. In this we are having a settlement of 150mm by which the supports near to tank are also coming under settlement as per the settlement profile provided by civil.

In this case, the client requirement is to provide a reverse slope based on the settlement value at the supports. Can anyone please help me in this regard on how do we need to calculate the slope for these lines.

What I understand is the storage tank is getting settled(or having a downward displacement) with time and your supports also. So I think the lines connected to the tank nozzels will be a hypotenus of the right angle triangle with one side as 150mm(equal to the tank settlement). By this you would get the angle of slope and then you should model this slope in your piping model.

I hope this helps.
