Dear All,

is it necessary to assign the friction value of 0.3 for all single directional restraint in the model? i refer Caesar II examples in which i never seen any example with the above said friction value, may i know the reason?

The CAESAR II examples are just that - examples. These are not to be taken as recommended engineerng practice. You the Engineer must decide when friction is applicable/required, and an appropriate value of mu.

(There are a lot of existing posts here on the subject of "friction". You can use the [Search] facility to find and review these - some of which are gems of wisdom.)
