Hi,

currently, I am working on a 24in line connecting to a vessel vertically, a very small gauge is connected to this line at the vicinity of the nozzle, the weldolet is a 1.5in to 24in type. knowing that the design temperature of the line is 150, I have got a overstressed spot in thermal case at the junction point, the SIF value is almost 9. I know that CII calculates the SIF based on a equal size intersection ( in my case a 24 to 24 weldolet) can any one suggest how I can calculate a less conservative/ more accurate SIF at the spot?
