That depends on the type of equipment and how you model it (the equipment). Remember that CAESAR II models are composed of 3D beam elements only. If you model the equipment (pumps, etc), you typically use a series of rigid elements with an anchor at the base, and the your piping to the nozzle node. This model should be good for both static and dynamic analysis.
If you don't model the equipment, then it is up to you to provide (static) nozzle displacements. The dynamic model should be acceptable as well.
CAESAR II is unaware of gussets, but these won't affect the (CAESAR II) equipment model, assuming you have used rigid elements.
