Dear members,

This is not a question directly related to Ceaser software, but as it might be agreed that an analyst ought to take of this , may I seek your permission to seek the forums advise as to how do we calculate the steam hammer effect. How to ensure that in a pipe design steam hammer does not occur. Needless to state, water hammer is different from steam hammer.

Thanks and regards

Venugopal

Dear Venugopal,

You can study Example 3 - Dynamic Analysis of Water Hammer Loads in CAESAR II Application Guide Manual. You'll learn a lot about liquid hammer analysis.
