I would be obliged if you could clear a small qurey of mine regarding the subject. Is it possible for Caesar II to check for the weld joint strength through WRC or any other method.

Im having a situation in which I have a bypass line with 20" 900# valve on a vertical pipe above ground branching from a 36" barred tee which is underground. Im concerned will the welded joint be strong enough to hold that huge valve which weights almost 4.5 tons in the vertical position without affecting the barred tee below and the joints.

I have done the analysis and found that the stresses are within the limits.

The client is very concerned regarding the location of the valve in the vertical direction due to operation requirments.

If you're talking about the "weld strength" that Vessel Engineers check for nozzles, no CAESAR II won't do that. This isn't something WRC checks either.

If this isn't what you were asking, can you explain a little more what you want?

This is exactly what i was asking.. the weld strength at the weld joints.. I just want to confirm it if its possible to check the strength of the weld joints using WRC or any other methods in Caesar II..

I had a doubt we can check the strength of the welds in WRC giving the pipe informations.
