hi all,

I am trying to learn about CPVC piping analysis. I have got some doubts regarding the same. They are,

1. Can we model and analyze CPVC piping by using FRP modelling and analysis procedure?
2. I have got a system of 42" CPVC piping, are there any special cases or loads which i have to consider in the modelling and analysis?
3. Does any standard tell about CPVC (other than vendor catalogue)?

please help.

regards,
Vikas

Most people consider PVC an "isotropic" material, so it would behave more like a metal than FRP. So you should not use the FRP recommendations of CAESAR II. Just use "Material 21" (User Defined) and define the necessary material properties.
