I been in the stress industry almost a year , generally i am calculating the stress by using Caesar 2 , occassionally i solved the high stress and loading by using the try and error method and without understand the theory behind , i found that in long term i cant gain much experience if i continue working in such a manner hence start from now on i willing to try the hand calculation method for pipe stress analysis, do anyone know what are the best reference book to gain this knowledge. Appreciate very for your reply and guidance .

Hi pipers,

Ya i do hav the same problem wat Glenn hav ,and more over by doing hand calculation and analysing the result of the problem one can becom a good stress engineer ,and more important is that we can think of the system behavior before analysing .

I think by this question ,forum members can help all the people who are learning and can provide a lime light to the ideas of the people how are doing stress analysis.
