Hi to All,
I am doing anlysis accoring to EN-13480.
I was asked from client to check my system for Harder spring.
He has provided me Different stiffnesses values for Different pipe Size.

But in a single CFG file how i can incorporate these different stiffness for different pipe dia.

With Regards
Aditya Singh

I must assume that you are requesting CAESAR II to select the spring and that you, for some reason, wish a stiffer spring selection. Spring stiffness is not a primary design parameter with CAESAR II. CAESAR II uses a design load and a range of travel to select the spring and stiffness only plays a role in checking load variation. Some manufacturers (and B31.1) state that load variation should not exceed 25% and that is the default maximum in CAESAR II. If load variation is excessive, then the same size spring (same working range) is selected but with a lower spring rate. If you wish to avoid this looser spring, I suggest you change the design load variation. This can be done for all new spring selection locations in the general hanger design data or on a location by location basis in the input for each individual hanger location.

Or you could just do it all by hand.
