Dear all,
Suppose if i have a restraint guide gap with say 5 mm, then I must input the value of Mu (Coefficient of friction)in restarint field.
Please tell me wheather i am correct or not??

There is no harm in asking any question .However I would advise you to get whatever work you do checked by any senior stress engineer in your organization as forum memebers can answer your questions but cannot check your work , which for your level of experience is must.

Besides, to answer your query , pl. read the chapter on Friction in the Technical reference manual of CAESAR ( under Technical discussions), use the knowledge you have gained( hopefully) in your strength of materials course and use common sense.
