CAESAR II uses a "3D Beam Element", which assumes overall system behavior is dominated by bending. Second order and local effects are beyond the abilities of the "3D Beam Element".
CAESAR II will not tell you that you blew up your pipe, or that it buckled. In your case "stress stiffening" may also be a factor which is also not addressed.
Be very carefull with this analysis.
