Dear,

I have a question about valid range of input pressure and D/t ratio.

Should I use CAESAR II at high pressure condition?

Design Pressure is 3350bar, D/t ratio is 4.3

Is there valid range of input pressure and minimum D/t ratio?

Thank you.

CAESAR II uses a "3D Beam Element", which assumes overall system behavior is dominated by bending. Second order and local effects are beyond the abilities of the "3D Beam Element".

CAESAR II will not tell you that you blew up your pipe, or that it buckled. In your case "stress stiffening" may also be a factor which is also not addressed.

Be very carefull with this analysis.
