hi Coade's,

I have a question about the allowable stresses display in the input spreadsheet. When the first element of the system is modeled and material are decleared the SH, SC value appear, but when i check my next element and click the allowables stresses at the right side I find my SH, SC w/o value or even zero... Does it mean the element will not be evaluated in code basis?

This question comes when I evaluate the model for sustain and found out that there is no allowable declared but has code stress. What does it mean?

I attach some file..

Thank you, Regards!

For the elements with zero allowable stress, did you change the material? You don't have to check the allowable stress checkbox so often as they carry forward. But the zeroes are suspicious. You can send your model to techsupport@coade.com and I will take a look at it to determine what is wrong.

Are the zero points at RIGID elements?

I was once using v4.5 and open the model in v5.0, the result if the material is not update some element(excluding rigid) dont have allowables and even update. BUT... already gone thru it. I just use the neutral file from v4.5 to .cii and .cii to v5.0. grin

Thank you, Regards!
