Hi,

I am using CAESAR II Version 5.10. I am new to pipe stress analysis and CAESAR. CADworx is being used at our company for pipe layout design. The primary reason for choosing CAESAR is that both CADWORX and CAESAR have bi-directional link.

I have made my first attempt and we have created CAESAR input file from cadworx with the plant--> accesory option. Nodes are created in CAdworx itself.

As I am examining CAESAR II file created by CADworx in CAESAR, I see several gaps. Is this normal? How do i resolve this? should we change any settings in CADworx itself so this wont happen? or should we make changes in CAESAR on the model.

No this is not normal. It means your CADWorx model is disconnected. This needs to be corrected in CADWorx, otherwise this will plague the model forever. Use the Continuity Checker (\Plant\Utility\Continuity) to resolve this.

are they real gaps??? Run the preprocessor to see if you getr any warning or error messages.

I recommend you do the following:
- Search this forum. There have been several recommendations
- Work together with one of your draughtsman and do some experiments with simple lines (To learn and to get settings correct)

If the Cadworx model is done "badly" it will not work.
